What People Are Saying About Screw Asylum

It might look strange to add such an old blog to the collection of weird blogs, but to my humble opinion without blogs like these the internet would fall apart…

I’m not going to tell you about this site, I want you to discover the calm and the beauty of Screw Asylum for yourself

What? A blog about screws? Who.. .Wha… Why?

Screw Asylum is a prime example of the internet I fear might evaporate at any moment

I don’t know… this journal doesn’t seem to have a point, and it does just fine.

The Screw Asylum: The Greatest Blog Ever

Pixel-proof that the internet has jumped the shark.

The Screw Asylum. I suppose it beats collecting Star Wars dolls

Okay, it’s not so much interesting as… well it’s something.

This might actually be the most boring weblog on the entire internet.

Quite possibly the world’s most perfect blog Patient 37’s writeup is so sad/dramatic.

[…] check out what’s been checked in at Screw Asylum. If you’re borderline obsessed, then add it to your RSS feed. Weirdo.

[…] its pretty much the most charming thing I’ve seen in awhile.

Pretty chill blog man. I’ll come back later after toking up.

yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawn!

Some strange person has created the Screw Asylum where they can collect “defective screw related data”. The question is “Why?”

A blog about screws. Yes your everyday random screws.

It’s focused, to the point. For reasons I don’t understand myself, I’ve added it to my RSS feed reader, so I’m notified as soon as it’s updated, and I check out every new entry.

The internet gets weirder every day.

I don’t really know what’s going on in there but it’s vaguely soothing.

Quite possibly the world’s most perfect blog

I’m not sure if this is funny or really sad?

It’s this kind of attention to obscure details about the most meaningless of subject matter that keeps the web churning in a frothy stew of minutiae. I wouldn’t have it any other way

Thank you for reminding me why I love the internet!

The Internet is full of passionate, quirky people. Righteous.

This is the most incredible thing that I have ever encountered. Mind blown.

Its just a blog about weird screws. Very child-like and adorable when you think about it; sort of like a kid spending a summer day in the backyard picking and sorting flowers according to size or something.

For every field of information, no matter how obscure, there is someone on the Internet for whom it is a consuming passion.

It’s like a veteran’s home, for hardware.

Lots of detailed photos, descriptions of freaks such as “Short, stumpy and no slot” “Beautifully mangled shaft” and my favourite “left with a small appendage […] somebody’s getting off on this, that’s for sure

No Torx heads? This guy must obviously be some kind of poser.

Pretty intriguing if you have little on your mind.

A nice refreshing breath of fresh internet weirdness air.

Oddball screws and the blogger who loves them

You really hit the nail on the head with this one. Oh crap. Did I screw up the pun? (there, I fixed it)

The most awesome blog ever done on the internets

Nobody really thinks about screws, and he does a good job making the defects seem interesting. Good for you, screw dude.

The most boring website of all time. Some dude has a website about unusual screws. Stop the internet, I wanna get off.

This just bathes me in tranquillity and glee

  1. Those imperial countersunk screws are just getting what they deserve. Now, a screw with two washers and nut, that I can get behind.

Thank you for reminding me why I love the internet! But disturbingly enough, this is actually interesting. Those ones that don’t have threads would make cool jewelry. They could be flattened and bent to make rings; with the head as a jewel.

I work for an industrial distributor (screws, nuts bolts etc.) and found out about this site through a companyu message board. I think it is pretty neat especialy since I have witnessed most of these defects firsthand. If I ever get some more and have a camera handy, I will send you some pics.

For all those who read this website, i know the guy that created it. He was brought up in a mental asylum and only sleeps 1 hour a night. He lives in a room with no windows and has pictures of screws all over his walls. This website is the most sane thing he has ever done and fills me with hope that one day he can lead a normal life
